Millat Tractors Limited maintained its position of market leader by achieving market share of 64% in 2012- 13. The company sold 32,032 tractors during the fiscal year and maintained its last year sales volume and market share.
At the end of fiscal year 2012-13, a ceremony was organized on June 30, 2013 during which
Mr. Sikandar Mustafa Khan, Chairman Millat Group and Mr. SM Irfan Aqueel, CEO, MTL, handed over the keys of 32,000th tractor to a farmer.
Addressing the audience, Mr. Sikandar Mustafa Khan said that It is worth mentioning that the sales volume of 2012-13 have been achieved at a time when the country’s socio economic conditions went worse which particularly effected the sales of tractors. More so, the General Sales Tax increased from 5% to 10% in January 2013 which affected the sales adversely. The banks had also markedly reduced tractor loaning facility to the farmers, he added.
He praised all employees, venders and dealers of the company for their untiring efforts which helped to achieve the production and sales volume of 32,032 tractors.
