Mr. Sikandar Mustafa Khan

(Chairman)

Mr. Sikandar Mustafa Khan graduated as Mechanical Engineer from NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi in 1967. He has a Post Graduate Diploma from the University of New-Castle upon Tyne, UK (1969) and Masters’ Degree & Diploma in Production Engineering (DIC) from Imperial College of Science and Technology, London University (1970). He also attended several management courses locally and abroad, including international Advanced Management Program (1983) at International Management Institute, Geneva, Switzerland and Leadership Development Program at Center for Creative Leadership (Colorado Springs), USA. He participated in Financial Management Course (1989), Management Control Course (1990) at Pakistan Staff College, Lahore and Strategy for Business in Developing Countries Program (1993) at LUMS.

Mr. Khan was appointed as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Millat Tractors Limited (MTL) in October 1985 while in the Public sector under Ministry of Production. He was instrumental in implementing the Government policy of indigenization of Tractor components both in-house and through vending associates. In pursuance of the Privatization Policy of the Government, he successfully led his team for Employees Buy-out of MTL and was elected the Chief Executive and Chairman of the Board in 1991. Additionally, he is also Chairman of a MTL subsidiary company Millat Industrial Products Limited and two associated Companies Bolan Castings Limited and Millat Equipment Limited.

Mr. Khan has also served on the Boards of several Companies of both Public and Private Sector organizations including the Engineering Development Board (Government of Pakistan) and the Board of Habib Bank Limited (March, 2010 to April, 2013), the largest private sector Bank of Pakistan. He has varied experience in the Automotive and Engineering Industry and has been associated with it since 1972.

He is serving as a Director/member on the Board of LUMS and University of NAMAL.

He was the Vice President of Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) from October, 1997 to September, 1998.

Mr. Khan also served as Chairman of the Pakistan Business Council (PBC) during the year 2016-2014; which is a business policy advocacy and research organization to meaningfully interact with government and other stakeholders including Foreign Financial Institutions and diplomatic representatives. PBC was formed in 2005 and comprises of the largest corporate sector enterprises in the private sector who have substantial investments in Pakistan’s economy.

He also remained Chairman of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers UK, Pakistan Chapter in the year 2015; a global organization based in London.

S M Irfan Aqueel

(CEO)

Appointed as the Chief Executive Officer in January 2012, Mr. Aqueel has been with the Millat Group since January 2005. He brings with him more than 23 years’ experience in the chemical process industry.

He has diverse experience in operations, project management, commercial, human resources and general management positions. Mr. Aqueel is a Director on the Board of Karachi Tools Dies & Moulds Centre Ltd, Karachi.

Mr. Raheel Asghar

(CEO)

Mr Raheel Asghar holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Cambridge, UK and has around 30 years of experience in the automotive industry in UK and in Pakistan.

He started his career after graduation in 1993 with Honda UK Manufacturing in Swindon UK, where he gained experience in production management, project management and production engineering. Raheel worked at Honda for 13 years during which time he held the positions of Department Manager for Body Shop and Department Manager for Honda Engineering Europe Ltd, a subsidiary of Honda UK Manufacturing.

He moved to Pakistan in 2007 where he joined Indus Motor Company, which is the sole manufacturer of Toyota products in Pakistan. Whilst at Toyota, he headed many functions and performed various roles including Director Sales & Marketing and Senior Director Plant Operations. Raheel was appointed CEO for Al-Ghazi tractors in 2020 before joining Millat Tractors in 2022.  

Mr. Raheel Asghar has attended various management programmes including the MDP at LUMS, Leadership program at Duke Business School and Advanced Management Program at Wharton Business School, USA.

Mr. Sohail Bashir Rana

(Executive Director)

Mr. Sohail Bashir is a qualified Mechanical Engineer (1970) from Engineering University, Lahore with over 52 years’ experience in the automobile sector in Pakistan and abroad. He has attended several management courses locally and abroad including Management Programmes at Ashridge (UK), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and various Technical, Finance and Marketing courses in UK, UAE and Italy.

He is a Fellow Member of the Institution of Engineers (Pakistan) and Institution of Mechanical Engineers (Pakistan), Member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Member Society of Automotive Engineers (USA).

He has been associated with Millat Tractors in various capacities over the past 44 years heading Technical, Marketing and Finance Departments and as Deputy Managing Director before being appointed Chief Executive of Millat Tractors Ltd, in 2006.

Sohail was the founder Chief Executive of Millat Equipment Ltd – a Millat Group Company — from 1993 to 2005. This unit is producing highly precise gears, transmission components and sub-assemblies for Massey Ferguson tractors.

He is Director on Board of Millat Tractors Ltd, Hyundai Nishat Motor Pvt. Ltd, Bolan Castings Ltd, and is Managing Director of UAE based TIPEG INTERTRADE DMCC Ltd.

Sohail has been the Chairman of the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) and in currently on its Executive Committee.

Mr. Laeeq Uddin Ansari

Laeeq Uddin Ansari is a Mechanical Engineer from University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore with over 50 years of experience in the automobile sector in Pakistan. He attended number of local & foreign training programs, seminars and conferences. He Joined Millat Tractors Limited in 1983 and has since been associated with the Company in various capacities. He headed production, quality control, technical, finance and marketing departments of the Company; He also remained CEO of the Company till early 2012.

Mr.Saad Iqbal

(Non Executive Director)

Young, confident, dynamic, enthusiastic, educated and self motivated person to take
entrepreneurial challenges easily. Graduated from the Curry College, USA in the year 2OO7 in international Communication as major. Mastered from the Kingston University, UK in the year 2009 in Financial Resource Management, Operation Management, Marketing, international Financial Markets and International Business strategy as major.
Besides above Mr. lqbal has also obtained certificates in Finance for Non-Financial Managers from ‘LUMS’ in the year 2011, Capital Markets and Finance from “KSBL, in the year 2011 and Financial Modeling from “IBA” in the year 2O12.

Mohammad Javed Rashid
(Independent Director)

Mr. Javed is a highly seasoned, results oriented, professional banker with over 50 years’ experience in the corporate banking, risk management and quality assurance areas. His recent responsibilities include Secretary to all key management committees within Alkhabeer Capital, an investment bank that he co-founded in 2004. He is conversant with the business culture and regulatory environment of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia where he has resided for nearly 44 years. Prior to Alkhabeer, Mr. Javed worked for prime international as well as regional banks in Pakistan and the Gulf, like Bank of America, American Express Bank, Chase Manhattan Bank, the Saudi Investment Bank and the National Commercial Bank. He holds a Master’s degree from the University of the Punjab in Pakistan.

Nasar us Samad Qureshi

(Independent Director)

Mr. Qureshi is a seasoned insurance professional with about 47 years experience in insurance industry. He started his career in 1974 in Pakistan and went to the UAE in 1977 where he served in senior positions with various insurance companies for almost 30 years. In 2006, he moved back to Pakistan to  establish Alfalah Insurance Company where he served as founding Managing Director & CEO of the company from its inception in 2006 till his voluntary retirements on 31st March, 2019.  After retirement from Alfalah Insurance, he established an insurance advisory firm known as TameenTech Insurance Advisory Private Limited.

He has been recently engaged as founding CEO of 5th Pillar Family Takaful Limited which is majority owned by reputed business houses from Kuwait and supported by well known investors from Pakistan.  Its commencement of business is  expected  in 2nd Quarter 2022.

He served as Senior Vice Chairman in 2015/16 and prior to that as Vice Chairman in 2011 of Insurance Association of Pakistan. Also, served as Chairman of Lahore Insurance Institute for the year 2013 and 2014. He was nominated to the Insurance Industry Reforms Committee formed by the SECP in 2012 and served as Chairman of the Operational Challenges Sub Committee.  Till voluntary retirement from Alfalah Insurance on 31st March, 2019, he served as Chairman of Insurance Association of Pakistan for the year 2018/19 and represented the industry on National Financial Inclusion Strategy Steering Committee. He was also nominated to the core committee of the National Task Force for Insurance Sector Reforms established by the Ministry of Commerce in 2020 headed by Dr. Shamshad Akhtar as Chairperson.

As a social sector contribution, he is serving as Vice Chairman of CYTE Foundation  (www.cytefoundation.com) since 2015. CYTE is a NGO dedicated to educating underprivileged children in Pakistan.

Mr. Qaiser Saleem

Mr. Qaiser Saleem is a qualified Civil Engineer from University of Engineering and Technology Lahore. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with specialization in Finance and Postgraduate Diploma in Taxation Laws from Punjab University. He is a member of Pakistan Engineering Council and also obtained a certification in Primavera; an enterprise project management program for planning, managing and executing real time projects.

He is having a diversified Professional experience in the field of Construction industry, Project Management, Banking and Foreign trade. He was also a part of the team who successfully started and established Centralized Foreign Trade Unit of a large Commercial Bank. He attended a number of training programs, workshops, and conferences.

Mrs. Ambreen Waheed

She is globally recognized and among the pioneers of Corporate Citizenship, Sustainability and Workplace Process Integrity. Co-founder & Chair South Asia Forum on Responsible Business (SAFORB), the region’s representative network of citizen-sector organizations.
