The Chairman EDB Mr. Almas Haider inaugurated Millat’s One-megawatt solar project taking forward the “Clean and Green” energy initiative of Pakistan.
The project was commissioned by M/s G-Solar on 15 April, 2021.
Simultaneously Two Solar Units have been installed at Millat Group of Companies as under:
1. MTL: 998.5 KW
2. MEL: 692.5 KW
Benefits to the MTL & National Grid:
MTL achieved cost saving of 25% in electricity bills due to commissioning of solar project. The project will supply electricity to National Grid when Net Metering is approved by NEPRA.

Environmental Implications:
The solar energy is a green & clean form of energy as the solar electricity generation does not produce carbon foot print. It is safe for the environment ozone layer. In addition, the per unit cost of solar energy is much lower than LESCO electricity unit cost which results in cost saving to MTL
